Midwest Grain Systems, Inc. (MGS) was founded in the Fall of 2002 by Joey Anderson. After five years of working in the grain handling industry and being dissatisfied with the level of quality and customer service he encountered, Joey ventured out to build his own company.
The shop and office, located just West of Kensington, MN, was built in the Spring of 2003. MGS was awarded a Sukup dealership, and Westfield followed shortly after. Operations were small at the start, but steadily grew – and continue to grow. Keeping up with the latest technology has always been a vital part of MGS.
Product lines were added in the following years:
- Top Air Sprayers - 2004
- Parker Grain Carts – 2004
- Batco Conveyers – 2005
- Loftness Shredders – 2006
- T&L Irrigators – 2006
- Prinsco Tile – 2007
- Wheatheart Augers – 2008
- REM GrainVac (Rental) – 2009
- Grain Baggers and Unloader (Rental) - 2010
Retail expansion also included tire service, hydraulic hose repair, various tools, hardware, paint, NAPA filters, full line of steel (square tubing, flat steel, angle iron, channel iron, and more), batteries and much more. MGS also offers many services for rent or hire, including pressure washing, boom and bucket truck rental, and welding services.
MGS currently has 20+ employees.
